Equibalancer is a family run business based in County Durham, we pride ourselves on the fact that we wouldn’t supply any product that we wouldn’t feed to our own horses.
The research and development of the original base for the balancers started back in 2004 and came from a purely personal need to find the best balancer for my own horses, at the time I had 4 Thoroughbred horses 3 of which had raced, the products on the market either made them to hot or had little effect. I had spent my life working with horses across many disciplines including Grass roots rider training, Thoroughbred breeding and managing International competition horses with a special interest in their nutritional needs and requirements for improved performance and longevity.
The first product to be developed was the Thoroughbred formula and we used this through the early years and sold to a small customer base, who would see our horses out and want to know how they looked so well.
Over the years as my son has grown up, we have had Lead Rein ponies, Show Ponies and are now moving back into horse classes. To support their nutrition needs and with the use of the latest research we have developed new products that complement the range and the ever-changing needs of our customer base. As a result, our range of balancers and supplements continues to grow to meet these needs.
It takes around 18 months of research, development and trials to get a new product to launch. All products and produced without any fillers or bulking agents and include the best ingredients we can source. This is how we made them for our use all those years ago and we are proud to remain committed to this.
We can often be found at major shows with our horses so if you spot us, don't be shy- we're always happy to have a chat!

We keep feeding simple. We want you to be able to understand what you are feeding your horses, so we don't use any complicated technical language. But if you do need something clarifying, you can get hold of us easily via telephone, social media and email. We're always on hand to answer any queries you may have, or make product recommendations based on your horses needs.
We have never, and will never, use any fillers. This includes oat or wheat feed, soya, molasses, alfalfa or other bulking agents. So you can relax knowing our products are what they say they are.
All of our products are mixed, packed and dispatched from our premises. We have tight production controls in place to maintain the highest quality and safety standards.
We are proud to provide good quality products at affordable prices. We sell direct to customers to cut out the middle-man and pass these savings onto you.
